Rector Holm-Nielsen: Brian Bech Nielsen is the right man for the job

The current rector of Aarhus University, Dr Lauritz B Holm-Nielsen, describes his successor in glowing terms.
Dr Brian Bech Nielsen, currently dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, will assume the position of rector of Aarhus University in August 2013.
‘Brian Bech Nielsen has done a first-rate job as dean of Science and Technology, where he has contributed to a merger of many independent units into one faculty with an extraordinary academic reputation. He has extensive experience in research and leadership, and he also has the personal qualities that are necessary. I am certain that he will be an excellent rector for Aarhus University,’ says Rector Holm-Nielsen.
Dr Holm-Nielsen has been rector of Aarhus University since 2005, and he is stepping down from his position when his contract ends in August.
