When developing new products in LEGO, the company’s users, partners and employees all contribute to the process.  How innovation takes place in practice is the theme for the seminar ‘Established and New Innovation Processes and Practices at LEGO Company: Vision, Strategy and Challenges’, to be held by Erik Hansen, Senior Director (Technology & Open Innovation) at LEGO. 

- LEGO is a market leader within innovation and therefore has considerable experience in how to involve both external and internal stakeholders when creating and developing new products, says Lars Frederiksen, Professor of Innovation Management, and continues.

- LEGO has, for example, created the popular LEGO Mindstorms NXT robots. Erik Hansen, Senior Director at LEGO, has been involved in this process and is therefore able to share his experience of how to organise and manage innovation in practice.

The seminar with Erik Hansen is part of the ‘Practitioners in Innovation’ seminar series which creates a platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange and new partnerships in the cross-field between the business community, research and students.
