Department of Computer Science
The subject-related groupings at the current Department of Computer Science (NAT) will remain consolidated in the new Department of Computer Science, with the same geographical location.
The department has strong research activities, a long-standing tradition for close contact with the business sector, a considerable inflow of students, and extensive teaching activities for many of the degree programmes at the faculty.
Public sector consultancy
The department will contribute to some extent to public sector consultancy.
Education
The department contributes considerably to lecturing at BSc and MSc levels, as well as PhD education.
Staffing
Approximately 130–150 members of staff (120–130 academic staff and 10–20 technical and administrative staff).
