Rules regarding termination of registration at the University of Aarhus owing to a lack of study activity
Article 1. Registration will be terminated when a student has failed to study actively within the previous three years, unless any other written agreement has been reached based on Article 2 below between the student concerned and the director of studies.
(2). “Studying actively” means passing an examination or passing a subject based on credit. Credit granted in connection with a transfer to new academic regulations within the same degree programme is not regarded as studying actively.

Article 2. At the latest when a student has failed to study actively for two years pursuant to Article 1 subsection (2) above, the student concerned will be contacted and offered supervision and any relevant support measures with a view to resuming their study activity.
(2). The student concerned will be advised in advance that registration is to be terminated pursuant to Article 1 above, and informed of the date of termination of registration.
(3). If the student does not react to the contact outlined in subsections (1) and (2) above, or if he/she fails to attend supervision/support under subsection (1), their registration will be terminated.
Article 3. In exceptional circumstances the University may grant dispensation from the terms of Articles 1 and 2 above.
Article 4. This set of rules covers registration according to section 27 of Executive Order no. 126 of 26 February 2004 on admission etc. to Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes at Danish universities.
