Research
The Faculty of Arts embraces a wide range of fields within the humanities, theology and education. On the basis of the breadth and range of our expertise, we aim to engage our society at all levels, providing responses and solutions to pressing social challenges. Through our research, we aim to develop forms of reflection, creativity, and innovation which contribute to improving the quality of human life.
The research environments at the faculty’s departments are lively and open-minded, with an emphasis on collaboration across traditions and disciplines. We are committed to the highest standards of excellence in research and teaching in cooperation with partners and colleagues all over the world.
At two development-oriented centres, the AU Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and the Centre for Teaching Development and Digital Media, focus is on entrepreneurship and innovation, and teaching development and digital media respectively. Both centres perform research and research-based development in these fields for the benefit of Aarhus University’s students, staff and external partners.
