HOW TO APPLY
All applicants with foreign examinations (regardless of nationality) must submit an application before MARCH 15th.
The application form for Den Koordinerede Tilmelding is available from the University of Aarhus or from the Public Employment Service Centres (AF) from about February 15th.
This application form must be completed and returned with all the necessary documents to University Studies Office (Studiekontoret).
BEFORE 12.00 NOON ON MARCH 15TH
At the end of July all applicants will receive a letter informing them whether or not they have been offered a study place.
Applications received after the closing date will not be considered.
The documents enclosed must be officially certified copies (e.g. certified by the applicant's school or university, an embassy or consulate). If the documents are not in one of the major European languages or in Norwegian or Swedish, they must be accompanied by officially translated and certified copies.
Because of entrance restrictions in most subjects applicants are not offered a study place on basis of their results (grades/average marks) alone. Admission is based on a general evaluation of the qualifications, which may include life experience, work experience or other non-traditional qualifications relevant to the degree course in question. In addition it is very important that foreign students enclose a curriculum vitae describing themselves and their reasons for wanting to study.
The deadline for all applicants with foreign examinations is March 15th, and the general and specific course requirements must be fulfilled before July 1st in order for applicants to be considered for admission. The required Danish language test must be passed before September 1st.
Students expecting to complete their entrance qualifications during the current term, but who will not receive their certificate until later (i.e. after the closing date for registration, July 1st) may submit a letter from the head of their school or college confirming that they will be taking the examinations during the current term, assessing their chances of success, and giving the expected date of the result.
In these cases a certified copy of the final certificate or diploma must be sent to University Studies Office (Studiekontoret) as soon as possible after it has been issued. The certificates or diplomas will then be evaluated individually.
Such applicants will not be informed whether or not they have been offered a study place until they have submitted their official examination results.
