Research support
The rectorate has entered into an agreement with the Aarhus University Hospital in which all the main academic areas will in future get assistance from the Research Support Office (in Danish only) in connection with securing external funding. The Research Support Office will contact the main academic areas directly to provide information about the new opportunities.

Honorary Craftsman of the Year
Pro-rector Nina Smith has been declared Honorary Craftsman of the Year by Dansk Industri og Håndværk (Danish Industry and Craftsmanship) in East Jutland. Read the coverage (in Danish only) here.
May meetings
As previously mentioned, the rectorate has planned meetings with each main academic area to discuss the situation regarding the accounts and the strategy. The first 4 meetings were held on 13 May. The remaining 5 meetings are being held on 22 and 23 May. Meetings will be held with the main academic areas in September, where the focus will be on the academic conditions. Meetings regarding budget negotiations will be held in November.
Morning meeting with the academy councils
On 26 May, the rectorate is holding a meeting with selected representatives of the academy councils. The meeting will consist of discussions, sharing experience and proposals for improvement regarding work within the councils.
Summer speech and reception
On Thursday 19 June at 14.00, the rector will deliver his summer speech in the Lakeside Lecture Theatre in Aarhus. The speech will be streamed to the main academic areas that request it. Following the summer speech, a reception will be held to welcome Pro-rector Søren E. Frandsen. More details will be sent, but please mark this date in your calendar now.
