The rectorate would also like to say that coming round to the four-hour meetings with the main academic areas has been both interesting and informative. The last of these meetings will be held at NERI on 2 October.
Conference on business development and highly educated labour in Central and West Jutland
On 15 September, focus was concentrated on how to ensure a high level of education as a prerequisite for continued strong business development in the former counties of Ringkøbing and Viborg. Speakers included Helge Sander, Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation, Rector Lauritz B. Holm-Nielsen, mayors from the Municipalities of Ringkøbing-Skjern and Skive, and prominent business personalities from the region. See further information (in Danish only).

As of 1 October 2008, Flemming K. Fink has been appointed Director of the Aarhus Centre for Entrepreneurship (CFE).
