Each employee has unlimited freedom
“All employees are, of course, free to express themselves. Freedom of speech is essential to a university, and all employees at Aarhus University should know that they both can and are expected to exercise this right."
This has been reiterated by Rector Lauritz B. Holm-Nielsen in response to the claim that employees at Aarhus University and universities in general have no freedom of speech.
The topic of freedom of speech at universities, including AU, has attracted considerable media attention in connection with a much-debated personnel case at Musicology.
