Student Instructors for Project Management 940861

The Department of Management is looking for 3 student instructors for the course Project Management. The positions are available from January 30, 2018.

Academic content
The Project Management course works with a process approach to Project Management, including project conception, project planning, and project implementation.  The contents of the course include Knowledge Management theory as well as Project Planning Tools such as Work Breakdown structures, Critical Path Method, Gantt Charts, Budgeting and Risk Matrices.  The assignments are focused on working with an external client. 

The tasks of the student instructors include:

  • academic input, supervision and feedback in relation to the tutorials and team taught interactive sessions. The planning and preparation of the assignments used in the tutorials are made by the lecturers and the course responsible who are also mentors and sparring partners for the instructors.
  • meetings and regular contact with the course lecturers who are responsible for the course before and during the semester.
The teaching will take place within the time span from 8-18 (Monday to Thursday) and 8-16 on Fridays in consideration of the instructors own classes.

Your qualifications
Applicants are Master students, preferably from programs where the language of instruction is English, and preference is given to students who have had Project Management  Coursework. Weight is put on the academic, pedagogical and personal qualifications of the applicant. Among other things, the academic level will be evaluated based on the applicant’s grades.  You are asked to include them in your application.  You are also requested to describe your interest in Internet communication, and experience in writing proposals.  Previous experience with the BA-MMC program is desired.

Required qualifications
Employment is on the condition, that the applicant has completed, or in the beginning of the employment process will complete, the facultys course on teaching for instructors/student-teachers, at the Centre for Teaching and Learning.
