The position:
The Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences invites applications for a position as associate professor in autobiographical memory research to begin on January 1st 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The position is a permanent position with research and teaching obligations. The research part of the position will relate to the Center on Autobiographical Memory Research - CON AMORE - at Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences, www.conamore.au.dk.

The teaching part will be within Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences. It should be stated in the application how the applicant expects to contribute to teaching and educational activities at Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences, and how the applicant will advance research activities in autobiographical memory.

The successful candidate is expected to participate on a regular basis in the department’s day-to-day activities (such as seminars, courses, workshops, etc.), to contribute to the development of the department’s study and learning environment as well as to supervise students. In addition, the successful candidate is expected to participate in the department’s organizational and administrative tasks.

As the successful candidate is expected to participate in all of the department’s main activities, including examination and administration, a non-Danish speaking candidate is required to acquire the necessary skills within a short period (maximum 2 years).

Who we are

The Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences is one of six departments at Aarhus BSS, one of the four faculties at Aarhus University. Aarhus BSS unites the social science and business-related research fields and brings them closer together to reflect the close relationship between society and the business community.

At the department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences, we teach and conduct research into the most significant subject areas of psychology. The department employs around 45 academic staff members and 45–50 PhD students. Our researchers have a strong tradition for collaborating with Danish as well as international researchers from many different academic fields, such as health and psychiatry,education, pedagogic, linguistics, philosophy, religious studies, management, economics and neuroscience. We also increasingly focus on expanding our research and teaching to include subject areas such as orgizational development, management and human relations.

Terms of employment
The appointment is in accordance with the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff at Danish Universities as well as the circular on the Collective Agreement for Academics Employed by the State.
