Assistant professorship in Neuroscientific Psychology 938586

At the Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences, a position as Assistant Professor in Neuroscientific Psychology will be open from February 1, 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter.

General description
A position as Assistant Professor is a further education position for a fixed term of three years. The principal tasks will be research and research-based teaching. Related to the position is an obligation to publish and communicate research. The successful candidate is expected to participate on a daily basis in the activities at the Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences and to contribute actively to the development of its research and teaching environment.
Candidates for the position are expected to have a thorough knowledge of neuroscientific psychology and to have research and practical skills regarding neuroscientific research methods (for instance, testing and/or scanning technique) and/or neuropsychological rehabilitation.

The Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences is one of six departments at Aarhus BSS, one of the four faculties at Aarhus University. Aarhus BSS unites the social science and business-related research fields and brings them closer together to reflect the close relationship between society and the business community. At the department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences, we teach and conduct research into the most significant subject areas of psychology. The department employs around 45 academic staff members and 45–50 PhD students. Our researchers have a strong tradition for collaborating with Danish as well as international researchers from many different academic fields, such as health and psychiatry,education, pedagogic, linguistics, philosophy, religious studies, management, economics and neuroscience. We also increasingly focus on expanding our research and teaching to include subject areas such as orgizational development, management and human relations.

Terms of employment
The appointment is in accordance with the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff at Danish Universities as well as the circular on the Collective Agreement for Academics Employed by the State.
