To be eligible to apply via quota 2, you must have completed your qualifying examination prior to the deadline for applications on 15 March.
Quota 2 applicants are admitted according to a grade point
average (GPA) calculated from particularly relevant upper secondary
school subjects.
The range of relevant subjects varies from one study programme to
another.
The assessment is made according to the principle of a descending quota 2 GPA order. This means that applicants with the highest average in the relevant subjects are admitted until no more places remain.
In calculating the GPA for the particularly relevant subjects, the best average for each individual subject is included at the required level or higher, irrespective of whether the best average is achieved in the qualifying examination or by supplementing.
If there are more applicants with a quota 2 GPA cut-off than there are places available, those applicants with the best GPA (simple average to 1 decimal point) in subjects passed at A level are admitted, irrespective of the number of subjects at A level – and irrespective of whether the A level was achieved in the qualifying examination or by supplementing within the allocated time limit. Applicants with the most subjects at A level are then selected.
Applicants have an opportunity to improve their average in the particularly relevant upper secondary school subjects by supplementing in the individual subjects. Supplementing with a view to fulfilling the levels in the admission requirements must similarly be completed and documented by 5 July in the year of application.
The quota 2 grade point average (GPA) is calculated as a simple average of the relevant subjects expressed in the 7-point grading scale. Marks in the 13-point grading scale are converted to the Danish 7-point grading scale, after which a GPA is calculated.
Marks from abroad are also converted to the Danish 7-point grading scale wherever possible. If the marks from abroad cannot be converted to the Danish grading scale, the application is sent for an academic assessment of the subject.
A simple average is calculated as follows:
a. An average for each subject is first calculated by adding up the existing marks and then dividing them by the number of marks.
b. The averages are then added up and divided by the number of subjects included in the quota 2 criteria.
