Applying for Admission

DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED WITH YOUR APPLICATION

The documents required for your application depends on the location you are applying to. Generally, you will need the following:

  • Official transcript of records from your home university (must be in PDF format and must be in English). Your transcript of records is a list of grades from courses you have completed at your home university.  You cannot submit your application without a transcript of records.
  • Copy/Scan of passport OR national identity card (national identity card is an option for EU Citizens only)
  • Bachelor's Degree diploma - for Master students only (must be in English)
  • Depending on the department/faculty to which you wish to apply, some applications also must include documentation for English language skills.

Once you have completed your application, your international coordinator at your home university must confirm your application.  You will then be able to submit your application.

Please make sure to leave time enough for these steps before the application deadline.

Further information regarding how to apply can be found on the directions for your specific location under Step 2: Creating Application

LETTER OF ENROLMENT AND LEARNING AGREEMENT

Once you have been accepted as an exchange student at Aarhus University, you can retrieve your Letter of Enrolment from your self-service account at mit.au.dk. The name of your International Coordinator at Aarhus University will be listed in your Letter of Enrolment.

In order to get your Learning Agreement approved and signed, and for questions regarding academic matters, please contact your AU International Coordinator.

SUBMITTING PDF DOCUMENTS

All documents submitted with your application must be in PDF format.

Please make sure that your computer allows for this capability before beginning the application process.

Below are instructions to download a free PDF writer, in case you do not already have one installed on your computer.

FREE PDF WRITER

If you attempt to attach a document which is not in PDF format, you will receive an error message with a link to a free PDF Writer, which is tested by the university and which you can use, if you have no access to a PDF Writer.

If you need a PDF writer, you can follow this link.

HOW TO INSTALL?

  1. Activate the link PDF-Writer – Free Download in the right-hand side window box
  2. Choose "desk PDF-standard" in the next window and press "Free Download"
  3. Follow the installation guide from there.

When the product is installed, you will have "desk PDF" as a virtual printer in your usual printer dropdown list.

This “printer” makes a PDF version of your document, which you can save and attach to your application.
