Arrival information
Welcome
We are happy to welcome all Autumn 2012 exchange students to Aarhus University.
All exchange students are expected to arrive before their respective AU Intro Week starts as this week is mandatory.
There are a few formalities you must take care of when you arrive. This page will give an outline of these formalities for students coming to Campus Aarhus within the following main academic areas:
- Arts (AR)
- Business and Social Sciences (BSS), including the former ASB
- Health (HE)
- Science and Technology (ST), including Aarhus University School of Engineering (ASE)
Where do I go and what do I have to do upon arrival?
All of these exchange students must report to the International Centre during the opening hours when they arrive. At the International Centre you will find both the general registration desk (International Student and Staff Services, ISSS) and the Housing Office.
When you arrive you must register at both the ISSS and the Housing Office. At the ISSS you will receive a welcome package with a map of the campus, an arrival guide, and other useful material. At the Housing Office you can pick up the key to your accommodation and receive detailed information about your accommodation.
Opening hours
The ordinary opening hours of the International Centre are:
- Monday - Friday 10.00 - 14.00
However, the International Centre has extended opening hours on:
- August 1st from 10:00 - 18:00 - key pick up for ST starts at 12:00!
- August 2nd from 10:00 - 16:00
- August 15th from 10:00 - 18:00 - key pick up for AR, BSS and HE starts at 12:00!
- August 16th from 10:00 - 16:00
- August 17th from 10:00 - 16:00
- September 3rd from 10:00 - 18:00 - key pick up for Erasmus Mundus starts at 12:00!
- September 4th from 10:00 - 16:00
Following the above information, Autumn 2012 exchange students can collect their key for accommodation on the below dates and times.
Key pick up
- Students from Science and Technology (ST) can pick up the key to their accommodation from Wednesday, August 1st from 12:00 - 18:00
- Students from Arts (AR), Business and Social Sciences (BSS) and Health (HE) can pick up the key to their accommodation from Wednesday, August 15th from 12:00 - 18:00
- Erasmus Mundus students from programs of Globalisation and Animal Nutrition can pick up the key to their accommodation from Monday, September 3rd from 12:00 - 18:00
Please note that it is not possible to collect your keys before these dates and time and that it is your own responsibility to find temporary housing, e.g. hotel/hostel, if you arrive outside the above mentioned timeframe.
