AU Housing guarantee – what does it mean?

Finding housing in Aarhus can be both difficult and time consuming, especially if you don’t speak Danish and you are not able to arrive in Aarhus well before your studies start. Therefore the AU has a housing office to assist you, and we even offer a housing guarantee for all exchange students applying before the deadline.

The conditions of the housing guarantee are as follows:

• you must have been accepted as an exchange student at the AU
• you must submit your application before the specified deadlines
• you must accept the terms and conditions of the AU housing service for exchange students
• you must accept the predetermined housing periods offered at the housing application form
• you apply for a single room (unfortunately we are not able to guarantee that we are able to find double rooms or apartments for two persons/couples)         

If you meet these conditions, you can be sure that we will find you a place to live in Aarhus. However, for exchange students from Science and Technology applying for the spring semester 2012, we unfortunately cannot guarantee accomodation by January 15, 2012, although we are doing everything we can. Accomodation can be expected from February 1, 2012.
