Contract
By applying for housing on the online application form, you become legally bound by the housing contract and the deposit. This means that you have to comply with the termination notice deadlines stated in your contract and pay the monthly rent according to the contract until the tenancy is terminated.
Make sure you have read and accepted the terms and conditions of housing. Should you have any questions, please contact housing@adm.au.dk.
Cancellation
If you decide not to come to Denmark after having sent your accommodation application you have to inform the International Centre as soon as possible and no later than 6 weeks before the start of your accommodation period. If you fail to do so, you will have to pay for one or two months rent, depending on the termination notice of your lease.
Reception of the contract and payment of the first month’s rent
Student residences & shared facilities houses
If you are accommodated in a student residence or in a shared-facilities house, you will receive your contract upon arrival. The International Centre will sign the contract on your behalf and pay the first month’s rent and the deposit to the landlord before you arrive. You will receive an invoice from the International Centre upon arrival which you have to pay within 2 weeks after your arrival.
Sub-letting
If you are subletting a room from a Danish student/family you will receive a contract from your landlord before you arrive. You have to pay the first month’s rent and the deposit directly to the landlord before you arrive.
