Studenterlauget at ASB

Studenterlauget strives to create the best possible social and professional opportunities for the students at ASB. The organisation is comprised of eight business units which cover a wide range of activities, including fitness and social. You can learn much more about the different units and their specific activities on the website www.studenterlauget.dk

Canteen service

You can find many of them located around the campus. They are serving a variety of dishes for a cheaper price than normal restaurants. Expect to pay between DKK 20 and DKK 40 for lunch.

Friday Bar

The Friday bars (fredagsbar) are a good opportunity for students, staff and professors to meet and enjoy a drink or two together. Started in the ’80, it is a real tradition at the University of Aarhus.

The concept? Every Friday around midday, each department will set up a small bar in a canteen or a classroom where beer and soft drinks will be served until 6 p.m. Some bars also feature live music or incorporate themes.

Unibar

This well located bar provides you with a cozy atmosphere and many board games. It good to go there to relax with friends around a beer or a coffee, as it is the only place on campus where you can get latte and espresso!

Libraries

Almost every department has its own library where you can take out specialized books. You can find more information regarding the location and the opening hours on the websites of the departments.

The State and University Library is the main library of the University. You need your yellow health insurance card to take out books, but you are allowed to consult books in the reading room without it. There are photocopiers and printers available to students. The State and University Library also subscribes to all major newspapers around the world. Furthermore, it has an extensive electronic journal database, which you can use by logging on as a student or researcher at the library or from home. For further information on how to become a user of the many online facilities of the library, see www.statsbiblioteket.dk or visit the State and University Library on campus.
