On campus facilities HIH and DPU

HIH Herning

Students in Herning can make use of the following facilities on campus:

Student Counsellors

Here you can get counselling on academic as well as practical issues related to your study at HIH.

Student House and Café

The student house and café is one of the places where students meet each other – irrespective of study programme and educational institution.

Student’s Union (DSR)

The student union arranges most of the student activities at HIH e.g. student parties and Friday bar.

Weekly Friday bar

The Friday bar is open on Fridays giving students and lecturers alike an opportunity to relax and have fun together.

International Club

During the semester the International Club arranges events such as bustrips, film night, parties etc.

Canteen

The canteen offers breakfast and lunch of high quality at reasonable prices, as well as different snacks and soft drinks.

Computer rooms

The computer rooms are open 24 hours a day for students.

Library and bookshop

The library is open to the public, but its primary purpose is to serve the stu­dents and the teaching staff. The library subscribes to a wide selection of Danish and foreign newspapers and magazines so you can keep updated on news from around the world. 

Fitness Room

The fitness room offers a place to work out and excercise together with other students.

DPU Copenhagen

International Study Administration

The International Study Administration offers advice and assistance to international students on any practical matters, both academic and non-academic with regards to studying at DPU.

Access to DPU

With your student card and code you can access the buildings and some of the rooms in order to study or spend social time. This includes all main halls, kitchen and D 174  in D building, and student room on the top of the A building

Wireless Internet and Blackboard

DPU offers free wireless internet connections in all its buildings and outdoors, as well as at library’s computers.

The Blackboard is an online communication system which connects students and lecturers from the same courses. Being registered as a DPU student, you have online access to all important information related to your study programme, as well as to your student’s e-mail account.

DPU Library

The library at DPU offers a wide range of books in Danish, English and other languages, both in hardcopy and internet versions. Besides the materials, students can use computers, printers and copy machines, as well as book a study room for a group work.
