- How to vote
Go to www.au.dk/election and press the Vote now key. You will be redirected to the election system, where you can log in using your CPR number and Self-service password. The elections open on 26th November 2012.
- Can other people see what I voted?
No. It is just like an ordinary election. The people responsible for the election can see that you have voted, but not what you have voted. All communication between your computer and the election system is encrypted, so nobody else can see what you voted.
- Do I vote via Self-service?
No. You vote via www.au.dk/election, but with the same CPR number and password that you use for Self-service.
- Do I get a receipt?
No. The system keeps track of whether or not you have voted.
- What’s my user name?
It is your CPR number.
- What’s my password?
It is your password to the Self Service.
- Can I vote using a paper ballot?
No.
- Can I vote by mail?
No.
- Who can I get in touch with if the system doesn’t work?
We have set up a special hotline for the election (+45 8715 3347). The hotline is open in the following periods:
Monday 26th November 9-14
Tuesday 27th November 9-14
Wednesday 28th november 11-14
Thursday 29th november 10-16
- When can I see the results?
The results will be published at www.au.dk/election as soon as possible after the election, and by 4th December 2012 at the latest.
- Who can I vote for?
Election lists and candidates will be published at www.au.dk/election in November. For the exact schedule, see www.au.dk/election.
- Who can vote?
See the election circular at www.au.dk/election for an exact list regarding who has voting rights for what.
- What if my name appears incorrectly on the election list?
Fill in the objection form for election lists at www.au.dk/election and send the signed form to the Elections Secretary. The address appears on the form.
- How do I stand for election?
Fill in the form for nomination of candidates at www.au.dk/election/forms and send the signed form to the Elections Secretary. The address appears on the form but you may also scan the signed form and send it to the Elections Secretary by mail to valg@au.dk. Please note that the form for nominating candidates for the board must be signed by people standing for elections.
- I don’t have Internet access at home. What should I do?
You can vote from all computers with an Internet connection.
- What do I do if I can’t log on?
Follow the instructions at www.au.dk/election/access/.
To check your voting rights, you need to log on using your CPR number and Self-service password.If you are not already registered in Self-service, read more about how to get access.
When you log on to see your voting rights, you must use your CPR number without a hyphen.If you are a WebAros user, please note that you cannot use your WebAros password, but only your Self-service password.
When you have logged onto the election system, you can see which bodies you can vote for.If you think your registration is incorrect, you must send an objection. You may also contact the Elections Secretariat by sending a mail to valg@au.dk. Your objection must reach the Elections Secretariat no later than 24th October 2012 at 12.00 noon. However, actual errors will be corrected as far as is practically possible.
You can also make a more general search in the election lists by choosing Click here to go to notices in the election list .When you make a search, please note that there is a difference between small letters and capital letters. However, you are unable to see all those with voting rights to a particular body.If you want to see a combined list of all those who can vote for a particular body, you need to consult the election lists here.
- What do I do if I’ve forgotten my password?
Follow the instructions at www.au.dk/election/acces/. Please note that it takes at least one whole working day (24 hours) for the university to send a letter with a new password to your address listed at the National Registration Office.
- My ballot paper shows some wrong candidates

- What happens if the system “goes down”?
There is an emergency plan for holding the election. If the system “goes down” and the election can no longer be held electronically, a decision will be made regarding the continued process. If there is a prolonged breakdown, you will be able to read more at www.au.dk.
