Tuition Fees

With a few exceptions, all non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizens are liable to pay tuition fees.

Exempted from payment of tuition fees are:

  • students on a bilateral exchange programme
  • students with a permanent residence permit in Denmark
  • students with temporary residence permit with a view to/possibility of permanent residence in Denmark
  • students with a residence permit granted on the grounds of family reunification
  • children of workers from non-EU/EEA countries

A copy of your residence permit must always be enclosed in your application(s) for admission. Your most recent residence permit must always be submitted during your enrolment at Aarhus University.

The annual tuition fees for students enrolling in Bachelor's and Master's programmes at Aarhus University are:

  • Faculty of Social Sciences: EUR 9,100 a year (60 ECTS)
  • Faculty of Humanities: EUR 9,100 a year (60 ECTS)
  • Faculty of Theology: EUR 9,100 a year (60 ECTS)
  • Faculty of Science: EUR 15,300 a year (60 ECTS)
  • Faculty of Agricultural Sciences: EUR 15,300 (60 ECTS)
  • Faculty of Health Sciences: EUR 15,300 a year (60 ECTS)
  • Aarhus School of Business:
    Bachelor's degree programmes: EUR 8,000 a year (60 ECTS)
    Master's degree programmes: EUR 10,000 a year (60 ECTS)
  • The Danish School of Education: EUR 9,100 a year (60 ECTS)
  • The Institute of Business and Technology in Herning:
    BSc in Electronic Design Engineering: EUR 11,500 per year (60 ECTS)
    BSc in Global Management and Manufacturing: EUR 11,500 per year (60 ECTS)
    BSc in International Management (HAIM): EUR 6,000 per year (60 ECTS)
    BSc in International Communication and Multimedia (ICM): EUR 6,000 per year (60 ECTS)
    MSc in Innovation Management: EUR 9,100 per year (60 ECTS)
    MSc in Engineering (Technology Based Business Development): EUR 15,300 per year (60 ECTS)

The tuition fees are payable by biannual instalments (30 ECTS) and are prepaid before the commencement of studies in September and February.

You cannot be enrolled in the programme or obtain a study residence permit in Denmark without having paid your tuition fees.

Books and course materials are not included in the tuition fee.
