KEY OF INFORMATION
The Rector’s Office provides strategic and administrative support for the work of the senior management team. The unit contributes to policy development as well as performing a coordinating role in connection with such areas of responsibility as dialogue with government agencies and international partners. An important task is to ensure that the senior management team is presented with precise resolution presentations, and that all decisions are passed on to the relevant parties.
The Rector’s Office is the fulcrum of many internal processes in AU, and its central task is to ensure that the university’s many different points of view and needs are recognised and represented.
The Rector’s office is divided into four groups:
- Staff
- Strategy
- Legal
- Press
Among other services, the staff group provides administrative assistance, decision processes and prepares meetings and larger events, primarily for the rector, pro-rector and university director.
The strategy group provides administrative support and strategic analyses to the senior management team, and is furthermore the link to the AU committees and forums for research, education, talent development and knowledge exchange.
The law group advises both the senior management team and the university’s staff in legal matters. It coordinates work with the university’s general regulations and by-laws, and is responsible for servicing the university board.
The press office coordinates the strategic communication of the university as well as media relations for the senior management team.
Kirsten Jensen is the deputy director of the Rector’s Office and leader of staff and law groups. Chief strategy officer Grith Thagaard Loft heads the strategy group, while Anders Correll is head of press affairs and head of the Press office.
