Rikke Nielsen, International Director of Aarhus University, and Koen Lamberts, of University of York, sign an extension of the existing Memorandum of Understanding.

During the years, Aarhus University has strengthened its relations to some of the strongest universities in the UK. Therefore, it is important for Aarhus University to underline the importance of continued close collaboration with its UK partners, in particular after the Brexit referendum last year.

Among Aarhus University’s closest partners in the UK is the University of York and like Aarhus University, it belongs to the group of comprehensive, research-intensive universities that are less than 100 years old. Furthermore, both universities belong to the world elite within some of the same research areas.

The close collaboration within research and education, for instance, the collaboration about the joint PhD degree and a joint seminar at the Aarhus University Conference Center (Sandbjerg) were discussed during the visit to Aarhus University.
