Forensic medicine
The Department of Forensic Medicine performs autopsies and accompanying forensic analyses (in such areas as forensic chemistry, forensic genetics and forensic dentistry) for the Danish judicial system, in addition to examinations of the victims and perpetrators of violence, rape, child abuse and torture. The department also assists the police with chemical analyses of narcotics and other substances and objects.
