New China initiative

China as a knowledge economy is on the rise. In recent years the Chinese have heavily invested a large amount of money to bring the Chinese universities as a player among world’s elite. To support these new alliances, the University Management has appointed 2 million DKK to establish new and specific collaboration agreements at four Chinese universities. Read more

Partnership agreement between Aarhus University and Peking University

In pursuit of mutual interests in the fields of research and higher education and as a contribution to the general goal of increased international cooperation, Peking University and Aarhus University have agreed to enter a partnership agreement. Read more

Partnership with University of Hamburg and University of Southern Denmark

Aarhus University, University of Hamburg and University of Southern Denmark have entered into a formal alliance with the objective to strengthen and broaden existing collaboration within education and research. Read more.

Sino-Danish Centre, Beijing, China

The association Universities Denmark and the Danish Ministry of Science and Technology has established a Danish University Centre called The Sino-Danish Centre for Education and Research. It is partnership between eight Danish Universities and the Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (GUCAS) forming a framework around Danish-Chinese research projects and PhD education and joint master degrees. Read more...

FUDAN, Shanghai, China

As a member of the Nordic Centre, Aarhus University holds a collaboration agreement with the prestigious Fudan University in Shanghai, China. The partnership covers student- and staff exchange and academic collaboration. Read more...

NORDIC CENTRE INDIA

Nordic Centre India is a network of 22 Nordic universities and institutions with research and education interests in India and Southeast Asia. There is an NCI office in one of the Nordic member universities as well as an office and a small Guest House in New Delhi.

Nordic Centre India offers targeted courses to Nordic university students both as short summer programs and semester stays. The courses are taught in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Mumbai. NCI assists in obtaining researchers permit both from the Nordic office and from the office in Delhi. Read more...

EUA

The European University Association is a forum where European universities from 46 countries cooperate and keep abreast of the latest trends in higher education and research policies. The Association’s mandate in the Bologna process, contribution to EU research policy-making and relations with intergovernmental organizations, European institutions and international associations, ensure its capacity to debate issues which are crucial for universities in relation to higher education, research and innovation. Columbus is a non-profit association founded by the European University Association (EUA) and

University of Edinburgh 

On September 20-21, 2012 Aarhus University and the University of Edinburgh invited a group of high level representatives from universities, university organisations, the European Commission, and research bodies to a meeting in Aarhus, Denmark, to debate Excellence in European Doctoral Training. India Collaboration

Researchers within biotechnology can apply for mobility grants from Novozymes and Henning Holck-Larsen Foundation. Aarhus University has received a mobility grant of DKK 600,000 a year for bilateral mobility between Denmark and India for 2013-2019. This funding will give talented young researchers from Aarhus the opportunity to conduct research in India and Indian researchers to do the same in Denmark. Read more
