Organisational collaboration
Aarhus University welcomes strategic partnerships that are open for organisational collaboration as well as for collaboration within education and research.
The reform processes and changes within education and research institutions in Denmark in recent years have shown the value of collaboration and benchmarking also on an organisational level.
Aarhus University has recently experienced a merge where five independent research institutions were merged with Aarhus University as part of a general condensation process of higher education institutions in Denmark. Parallel to this the internationalisation efforts related to the Bologna process, the acquisition of the Bologna ECTS Label as the only Danish university and a university reform have meant significant change also in the managerial structures in the university.
Experience from these organisational processes and the synergies already obtained in this context may constitute excellent input for universities embarking upon similar routes. At the same time knowledge sharing, discussions and exchanging experiences on organisational issues may offer new inspiration to Aarhus University in our efforts to harvest even more synergies of the recent reforms.
Aarhus University is heavily involved in lifelong learning activities through its involvement in The University Extension in Aarhus; a non-commercial organisation which offers lectures on the theories, methods and results of science using primarily university lecturers.
