Purpose

The purpose of the Navision Stat project is to introduce a joint financial control system for the entire university. Originally, the plan was to use Navision Stat version 5.0 as the joint system. At the meeting on 16 June 2008, the group of deans decided to postpone the implementation of Navision Stat 5.0 and use version 3.60 instead as the joint financial control system at the University of Aarhus. The reason for this decision is that the release of version 5.0 has been postponed until October 2008 and that the workflow system for invoice handling in version 5.0 will only be developed at a later stage.

Demarcation and activities

Workshops regarding system support were held in June 2008 with the Aarhus School of Business, the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, the Danish School of Education and NERI.
In March 2007, a survey of system support in the field of financial control was carried out by the University of Aarhus in collaboration with the individual main academic areas.
The aim of the workshop was to update and review the 2007 survey of system support in the field of financial control and to answer a number of additional questions.

1. A general description of the existing system landscape, including information about locations, if applicable.
2. What platform will be used for the financial control system?
3. What platforms will be used for the subject area systems, if applicable?
4. What forms of integration/interfaces have been established between the financial control system and the subject area systems, if applicable?
