Courses with available seats will reopen for applications 1st to 7th May 2017.

  • If you apply for courses at Master level, you must upload a transcript showing the courses of your currently completed courses and your bachelor degree diploma

Please note that we need to have all the required documents before 15 March in order to process your application. In late April you will receive information on whether or not you have been accepted.

Deadline and Application

FAQ from students from other Danish Universities

I do not have any room left for a Credit Module in my study programme

If you do not have any more room for courses in your study programme, you can apply as a 'tomplads' student instead. You will have to pay participation fee. Read more about how to apply here.

I've applied for a pre-approval, but I am not sure that the Board of Studies will approve until after the application deadline (15 March). Can I still apply?

You can submit your application in the application system, uploading an empty document instead of your pre-approval (please make a note in the comments that you have applied for pre-approval). When we check the documents in your application, we will set your application to "incomplete". This will re-open your access to the application allowing you to upload your pre-approval when you receive it. Also, remember to resubmit your application once you have uploaded the final documentation.

Please note that we cannot guarantee to take your application into consideration if we receive your pre-approval later than March 15th.

How are seats for the courses allocated?

Please note that, unless otherwise announced in the course description found in the course catalogue, seats in any given course will be distributed to the following groups in descending order:

  • Aarhus University students from primary program or related education (see course catalogue)
  • Aarhus University students from any other study program
  • Students from other Danish universities applying to take the course as a credit module as well as students  nominated through an exchange agreement or other partnership agreement
  • Freemovers and other Danish applicants (Tomplads)

Within these groups the seats will distributed as described in the course description.
