| Clinical Global Infectious Diseases ECTS: 5. Level: Master. Date: 5-23 August - including Exam (group presentations). Venue: Aarhus Clinical global infectious diseases will give you an introduction to the major infectious diseases with emphasis on geographical differences. At the end of the course you will be able to: Describe and apply basic concepts of infectious diseases (i.e. incidence, prevalence, morbidity, mortality in different parts of the world), Diagnose infectious diseases including a geographic history, Hands on practical rapid tests and microscopy for parasites, Initiate basic treatment of infectious diseases, Discuss basic principles of community control and prevention. | Global Health ECTS: 5. Level: Master. Date: 5-23 August - including Exam (attendance). Venue: Aarhus Global health will give you a broad introduction to the principles and goals of global health. At the end of the course you will be able to: Identify major global health challenges, Understand common global health terms, Identify and describe social inequalities in health and their impact, Diagnose and treat main diseases with global perspectives, Design health programs focusing on specific solutions as well as general initiatives. The course will enable you to participate in the further development of the field as well as partake in the provision of health services at hospitals and health centres in low- and middle-income countries.
