BBQ and games in Mindeparken

Aarhus is surrounded by sea and forest which makes a beautiful scene for the city. We invite you to join us for a BBQ in one of the most attractive parks just at the periphery of the city, Mindeparken. The park is a memorial park for the Danish soldiers killed during World War I, and is located right next to Marselisborg Palace, which is the summer residence for Queen Margrethe of Denmark.

We will bring some of the best outdoor games known to mankind! So do not miss this unique opportunity to challenge your colleagues to the game (which should be an Olympic discipline): The Viking Game! If you are not in the mood for games however, you are more than welcome to relax and enjoy the pleasant view of the sea, forest and palace. After we are finished playing and talking we will enjoy a delicious BBQ together, prepared by Dale’s Café. We will finish the meal while enjoying the long and bright Danish summer evening.

Visit the Old Town

The Old Town is an open-air museum for city culture that brings one back to another time. The Old town is a living picture of life in Denmark from 300 years ago and up to 1974. The town not only allows you to experience 75 historic houses from 24 towns of Denmark from the outside, but you can also explore them from the inside. You will get a feeling of what it was like to live in them, and to see how Danes made their way of living, for example by talking to the live actors who go around living life the way is was back then.

A newer part of the city opened recently - The area in the era of the 1970’ies. From the outside you can see how the shape and colors of the buildings have changed and inside you can have a look at things connected to some great authentic Danish musicians and politicians from a revolutionary time and get an idea of how they have contributed to shaping Danish culture.
