Management structureThe BoardThe University Board is the supreme authority at the university. The University Board safeguards the university’s interests in its capacity as an education and research institution, and determines the guidelines for its organisation, long-term activities and development. The Rector's OfficeThe Rector constitutes – together with the Pro-Rector and the University Director – the Rector's Office. The Rector deals with the daily management of the university within the framework laid down by the University Board. The remaining two members of the Rector's Office deal with their tasks in accordance with the authorisation granted by the Rector Every Tuesday, the Rector's Office publishes a newsletter for all members of staff. The newsletter includes a brief description of current activities and discussions. Remaining managementThe remainder of the senior management consists of deans, heads of departments and directors of studies, all of whom act in accordance with the authorisation granted by the rector. |
The university’s organisationThe work of the university – research, teaching, communication and consultancy –takes place at departments and sections that are organised in nine main academic areas (cf. organigram below). The university’s central administration provides service for the University Board, the Rector's Office, appointed committees and other decision-making authorities.
