New church door inspired by AU astronomers

The artist Dorte Dahlin has created a new door for the Klosterkirken church in Aalborg with an entirely original interpretation of the star over Bethlehem. And she was inspired by the AU astronomers Hans Kjeldsen and Jørgen Christensen-Dalsgaard during the process.
“No fewer than three times in the year 7 BC, Jupiter and Saturn were so close to each other in the sky that people might easily have perceived them as an enormous new star,” explains Hans Kjeldsen.
