New scholarships available for talented Master's students

Aarhus University now offers exciting scholarships for talented students within Science and Technology

FUTURE CROPPING - Danish Innovation scholarships

In 2015, Aarhus University offers a total number of two scholarships in order to give highly talented students the opportunity to conduct their Master’s studies at Aarhus University.

The selected students will receive a full tuition waiver including a monthly scholarship of DKK 8,300 towards living expenses.

The scho­larships will give candidates the opportunity to complete a two-year Master’s degree programme at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Aarhus University. The two successful students will be linked to specific FUTURE CROPPING activities and will be expected to do an internship or a research project with a company within the FUTURE CROPPING programme. The students will each be assigned a mentor at their department.

Who can apply

Students from the Republic of Korea, India, United States, Brazil, Japan and China are eligible for application.

Eligible programmes

The following Master’s degree programmes are available for the two scholarships:

  • Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering - Biotechnology (only FUTURE CROPPING applicants)
  • Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering - Chemistry (only FUTURE CROPPING applicants)
  • Computer Engineering (only FUTURE CROPPING applicants)
  • Electrical Engineering (only FUTURE CROPPING applicants)

When creating your application in the application system, select the option "(only FUTURE CROPPING applicants)" to apply for a scholarship.

Prior to applying for admission, applicants are kindly asked to make themselves acquainted with the specific admission requirements for the Master’s degree programmes they wish to apply for. Please consult the Master's student guide.

Your application will be considered a scholarship application. Qualified applicants who are not selected for a scholarship will not be offered admission to Aarhus University.

The application system will open for scholarship applications on 13 January 2015.

About FUTURE CROPPING

Aarhus University is part of the partnership FUTURE CROPPING, which is supported by Denmark’s Innovation Foundation. During the coming five years, FUTURE CROPPING will help develop the high quality, sustainable plant production of tomorrow. One of the most important challenges for farming is to increase plant production per hectare, while at the same time reducing the impact on the environment. In a private-public partnership, industry, business and research will develop an ICT platform that integrates vast amounts of data from the next generation of agricultural and environmental technologies into intelligent, more efficient and sustainable technologies and solutions for site-specific crop management and environmental regulation.

The two successful students will be linked to specific NEXT activities and will be expected to do an internship or a research project with a company within the NEXT programme. The students will each be assigned a mentor at their department.

About NEXT

Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital are part of the partnership NEXT – National Experimental Therapeutic partnership, which is supported by Denmark’s Innovation Foundation. The partnership is a national collaboration between public hospitals, universities and the pharmaceutical industry, and the partnership will offer new medicines to cancer patients who doesn’t benefit from normal treatment. During the coming five years, NEXT will test new medicines beginning with early clinical trials relating to cancer and skin diseases.
