Academic employee position at the Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center (iNANO), Aarhus University 913868

A 2-year position as academic employee is available within the topic “Systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment for targets in complex mixtures” funded by the Carlsberg Foundation. The workplace will be at the Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center (iNANO) at Aarhus University starting 1 August 2017 to 31 July 2019.

The candidate will be associated with the Nanomedicine research group, which aspires to develop new technologies within disease treatment, drug delivery and diagnostics as well as food analysis.

The candidate must have a PhD degree in nanoscience, molecular biology or related field and have a strong research record concerning nucleic acid aptamer selection and characterization. Good experiences with SELEX, next-generation sequencing analysis of SELEX pools, protein and RNA/DNA biochemical and biophysical analytical techniques, cell cultivation, cell assays and animal handling are required.

The successful candidate will be assisting the head of the research group in the administration of research projects and daily supervision of students and technicians.
 
The Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center (http://inano.au.dk) is an international research and education center based at Aarhus University, Denmark. The center undertakes interdisciplinary research involving scientists from relevant areas in physics, chemistry, molecular biology, biology, engineering, and medicine. iNANO offers a dynamic, interdisciplinary research environment with many national and international collaborators.
