Assistant professorship in autobiographical memory and consumer behavior, tenure track faculty position, at the Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences, Aarhus University 1007253

A position as assistant professor with tenure track in autobiographical memory and consumer behavior is open from 01.01.2019 or soon after. The assistant professor position is an open-ended tenure-track position with a tenure review and transfer to associate professorship contingent on positive assessment before the end of the fifth year of employment. Job description
The assistant professorship is a tenure track position with research and teaching obligations. The research part of the position will relate to the Center on Autobiographical Memory Research - CON AMORE - at Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences, www.conamore.au.dk. The focus of the research will be to help with developing a new research area integrating autobiographical memory and consumer behavior, using advanced experimental facilities, such as virtual reality, and real time psychophysiological measurements. Direct experience with sampling and analyzing measures indicative of arousal level (i.e., blood volume pulse, heart rate, and electro-dermal activity) through non-invasive techniques is an advantage, as is experience with conducting experiments on line using Amazon Mechanical Turk or similar services. It should be described in the application how the applicant will advance research activities in autobiographical memory and consumer behavior.

The teaching part will be within Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences. It should be described in the application how the applicant expects to contribute to teaching and educational activities at Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences, notably how the applicant will contribute to teaching in the field of business-psychology.

Your qualifications
The successful candidate is expected to participate on a regular basis in the department’s day-to-day activities (such as seminars, courses, workshops, etc.), to contribute to the development of the department’s study and learning environment as well as to supervise students.
As the successful candidate is expected to participate in all of the department’s main activities, including examination and administration, a non-Danish speaking candidate is required to acquire the necessary Danish language skills within a short period (maximum 2 years).
