Two 2 year Postdoc positions in Autobiographical Memory Rehabilitation in Dementia 1008332

At Center on Autobiographical Memory Research (CON AMORE), Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences, Aarhus University, two 2-year postdoctoral fellowships are open from December 1st 2018 or later.

The postdoc fellow is expected to work on ongoing reserach projects in the area of autobiographical memory rehabilitation in dementia. The applicant must have concrete knowledge of, and experience with, conducting research involving life story interviews or object cueing of autobiographical memory in older adults diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. In addition, the applicant must be experienced at coding verbal data into quantifiable categories, and conducting statistical analyses. The applicant has to be fluent in Danish, and have experience with testing older adults with dementia, supervising student assistants and coordinating research activities in the area of autobiographical memory rehabilitation in dementia.

The research project is funded by a grant from Velux Fonden to study autobiographical Memory rehabilitation in dementia. It is hosted by Center on Autobiographical Memory Research, a Center of Excellence at Aarhus University.

Center on Autobiographical Memory Research (CON AMORE) is part of the Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences which is one of six departments at Aarhus BSS, one of the four faculties at Aarhus University. At the department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences, we teach and conduct research into the most significant subject areas of psychology. The department employs around 45 academic staff members and 45–50 PhD students. Our researchers have a strong tradition for collaborating with Danish as well as international researchers from many different academic fields, such as health and psychiatry,education, pedagogic, linguistics, philosophy, religious studies, management, economics and neuroscience. We also increasingly focus on expanding our research and teaching to include subject areas such as orgizational development, management and human relations.

Terms of employment
The appointment is in accordance with the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff at Danish Universities as well as the circular on the Collective Agreement for Academics Employed by the State.
