Assistant Professor in Management - All Fields - Tenure Track and Fixed Term Positions - 750411

The Department of Management at Aarhus BSS, Aarhus University, invites applications for a number of positions as Assistant Professor in Management. The successful candidates are expected to take up appointment by the beginning of 2016 or as soon as possible subject to mutual agreement.

The department covers a range of fields in management, e.g. marketing, international business, organization, HR, strategy, management accounting, innovation management, entrepreneurship and information systems. Successful applicants are expected to sgnificantly contribute to the department’s research and teaching environment.

To qualify for a position as Assistant Professor in Management, the applicant must have a PhD relevant to the subject areas of the Department of Management. The assistant professorships can be time-unlimited - tenure-track positions (with 4-5 years to the tenure review) or time-limited (3 years).

On this occasion and without prejudice, the department especially welcomes applicants who can teach in the following areas:
• (Management) Information Systems
• Organisation (Behaviour, Design and HRM)
• Management Accounting
• International Business

The department has an internationally-oriented research and teaching environment. The department has about 70 department members (faculty), 40 PhD students and 15 supporting staff with a mix of Danish and international faculty members and PhD students. The department is responsible for teaching and supervision of bachelor, masters and doctoral students in business, management and economics study programs. Many courses are taught in English. The department has a lively exchange of international researchers who stay at the department for shorter or longer periods of time. Qualification requirements

Applicants should hold a PhD or equivalent academic qualifications.

  • Aarhus BSS refers to the Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Danish Universities (the Appointment Order).
  • Appointment shall be in accordance with the collective labour agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. AC.

  • Teaching portfolio, degree certificate (copy), curriculum vitae, complete list of publications (including annotations for not enclosed items) and verified information on previous teaching experience (if any) must be submitted with the application together with no more than 3 selected publications. Please note that co-authorship statements including detailed information on applicant's contribution must be enclosed for joint research.
