The Department of Bioscience at Aarhus University, invites applications for a tenure-track position as assistant professor in Section for Ecoinformatics and Biodiversity. The position is to be filled by 1 August 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter.
We seek an internationally competitive early-career researcher with a strong academic track record in macroecology and/or geospatial ecoinformatics. Expertise in plant community ecology or vegetation ecology is also an advantage. The candidate must have a PhD in ecology or related field.
Applicants must engage in cutting-edge research and maintain an internationally recognized research program. Applicants should also present plans for future research and funding. Qualifications in teaching will also be evaluated.
The appointee will be part of Section for Ecoinformatics and Biodiversity, led by professor Jens-Christian Svenning and is expected to engage extensively in collaborations with other staff members in the group as well as across the Department of Bioscience and to participate in and, in part, lead undergraduate and graduate teaching and supervision.
