Influenza A (H1N1)
There is no need to be worried at present for getting influenza A in Denmark.
What are the symptoms
The symptoms are the same as for normal influenza – i.e. sudden fever, sore throat, cough, aching joints and possibly diarrhoea.
What to do in case of symptoms
In case of symptoms you should stay at home and only contact a doctor by phone if the symptoms get worse or if you are in a high-risk group.
The high-risk groups include patients with lung diseases, asthma, heart diseases, diabetes or reduced immune defences. Pregnant women should also pay special attention.
How to contact a doctor
If you have been assigned a doctor in Århus you should contact him or her by phone.
If you have not yet been assigned a doctor, please contact the “After Hours Doctor” on (+45) 70 11 31 31 after 4 pm.
