I have a PhD in and many years of experience working in psychiatric genetic epidemiology. My research interests include disentangling genetic and environmental risk factors for psychiatric disorders, especially mood and personality disorders.
I am currently working on a project about the etiology of comorbidity between eating and personality disorders using Danish national register data.
In my PhD project, I investigated the genetic and environmental risk factors for borderline personality disorder and their interplay, using both genotyping and register-based data. My goal is to contribute to a better understanding of complex mental health problems.
I have experience teaching basic theories and methods in genetic epidemiology at the graduate level and give the lecture about personality disorders at the biannual "Introduction to Psychiatric Epidemiology" PhD course at Aarhus University.
