I am a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at Aarhus University and a Visiting Researcher at the University of Cambridge. I investigate the epidemiology of mental health conditions, with a particular focus on studying the common denominators between physical and mental health conditions, including the potential for repurposing drugs for psychiatric conditions. I use data from national administrative registers, electronic health records, biobanks, as well as genetic data, with a particular interest in combining different data modalities to perform evidence triangulation to establish causal relationships.
My primary research focus is on studying somatic multimorbidity in mental health conditions. In addition to this, I am conducting a series of pharmacological and genetic epidemiology studies concerning the mental-physical health interface, including investigeting the potential effects of medications used for somatic conditions on the development and progress of mental health conditions.
