As a lecturer in the dental hygiene programme, I am particularly committed to ensuring a high academic standard through a safe and supportive learning environment. I approach students with openness and respect in order to build a trusting relationship that allows room for mistakes, as my experience shows that this approach promotes student well-being and professional development.
I qualified as a dental hygienist in 2001 and hold a master in health education and health promotion from 2015. I have previously worked as a dental hygienist in private practice.
My primary area of responsibility is clinical teaching of dental hygiene students. This includes preclinical courses and patient care, evaluation meetings with students, and the development of teaching materials.
I plan and coordinate the clinical teaching in the 5th and 6th semesters of the dental hygiene programme and serve as course coordinator for the course “Independent Professional Practice.”
I also supervise written assignments, including bachelor’s projects, and act as an examiner for clinical exams.
