Christian earned a MSc degree (Computer Engineering), a MSc degree (Mathematics and Computer Science), and a PhD degree (Signal Processing) from Aalborg University, Denmark. Currently, he is with the Section of Signal Processing and Machine Learning, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aarhus University. Here he chairs the Signal Processing and Distributed Computing Group. Christian teaches and supervises at BSc, MSc, and PhD levels, he has co-organized conferences, workshops and summer schools, he has authored more than 80 scientific publications including a patent with Fraunhofer, and he has participated in more than 15 (inter)national research projects. Christian has been a visiting scholar at: 1) Aalto University Helsinki, 2) Imperial College London, and 3) University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. He is an IEEE Senior Member and he vice-chairs the External Engineering Examiners in Denmark at BSc/MSc levels in accordance with the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science. Christian’s research interests include signal processing, machine learning and distributed systems, in particular with applications to health care.
