Research

My research and development concerns drug safety during pregnancy based on information- and surveillance models.

The main aim is, that clinicians should be able to make the safest choices, when pregnant women need medications, based on complete, updated data of highest quality.

Teaching activities

My teaching philosophy is based on that learning-related aspects are controllable, and that good teaching narrows the gap between the levels of the students. Furthermore, to remember that we as teachers are active and conscious designers of learning design, and the designs is modulable and flexible, and can and should be adjusted continuously.

University Pedagogical Programme, AU, 2021.

Main lecture twice a year, classroom teaching monthly, supervision daily/weekly (medical students in the clinic).

Collaborations

I work in the intersection between Obstetrics and Pharmacology, in close collaboration with the Department of Clinical Pharmacology AUH.

In collaboration with Business Intelligence, Central Region Denmark, innovative solutions are developed to get patient-generated data back to the clinics, attempt to make data immediately available and without huge delays.

Consultancy

In collaboration with the Clinical Pharmacological Department AUH, we have developed a working tool for use in clinical practice for the Medicine Advice Board regarding drug use in pregnancy. Via an interface, weekly updated information on drug exposure and pregnancy-, birth- and neonatal outcomes is available, based on an on-going regional pregnancy cohort.
