As a PhD student, I am interested in breastfeeding at both the individual and public health levels, with a specific focus on the low breastfeeding rates observed both globally and nationally. In my research, I aim to achieve an in-depth understanding of the low breastfeeding rates in Denmark through various studies.
I have a background as a nurse, as well as a Master's degree in nursing.
I conduct research on breastfeeding, with a particular focus on unintended early cessation of breastfeeding within the first six months postpartum.
The aim is for the studies in my PhD project to address the existing knowledge gap in this area. The goal of my research is, therefore, to contribute critical knowledge that will help more Danish women who intend to breastfeed to successfully do so.
My primary areas of work as a PhD student include independent research and knowledge dissemination.
