As a lecturer in the Dental Hygiene program and the Clinical Dental Technology program, my focus is on ensuring the highest possible learning outcomes for the students. Through attentiveness to the students' needs and expectations, I strive to deliver engaging teaching that is current and relevant. I am particularly concerned with ensuring that the learning environment is safe and trusting.
I graduated as a dental hygienist in 2016 and worked as a dental hygienist in private practice. In 2020, I obtained a Master's degree in Public Health from the Department of Public Health at Aarhus University.
My primary areas of work are clinical and theoretical teaching, as well as supervision. Clinically, I teach preclinical courses, patient care, and thus work closely with students. I teach theoretical subjects primarily related to the natural and social sciences tradition, including epidemiology, public health dentistry, literature searching and evaluation, as well as quality development. Furthermore, I supervise written assignments, including bachelor projects, and serve as an examiner in several of the Dental Hygiene program's exams.
I am course coordinator for the course "Health Promotion, Prevention, and Disease Control," where I plan and coordinate the schedule, teaching modules, and examinations.
