As a researcher with a background in health science and epidemiology I have a special interest in neurological rehabilitation, particularly prognosis research. I have previously also worked with psychometrics of outcome measures. Most of the time I am working with health data from the electronic healthcare record. Here, I investigate how these data may be repurposed for quality assurance, development and research in public healthcare for the benefit of the patients.
I am generally available as a supervisor for Bachelor's projects and Master's theses.
In the spring semester I teach the elective "The digitised physician and researcher - repurposing electronic health data".
I work with data management and analysis of health data from the electronic healthcare record in MS SSMS, R and Stata. In my research I choose to work within the definitions of the Prognosis Research Strategy Framework (PROGRESS). Most of my research concerns adults with acquired brain injury and young adults with cerebral palsy; a minor part of my work investigates children and adolescents with acquired brain injury, and moreover adults with spinal cord injury or multiple sclerosis.
