Profil

I am a physician and postdoc at Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital doing research in the field of paediatrics. I am supervising research year students and PhD students. I have been in charge of large-scale international clinical projects and received several awards/funds including the Ministry of Higher Education and Science’s Elite Research Travel grant (2021), the Lundbeck Foundation Talent Prize (2022), the Fogh-Nielsen Prize Competition at Aarhus University (2023), the Lundbeck Foundation Postdoc grant/Early Career Clinician Scientist grant (2025), and the Alfred Benzon Fonden grant (2025). I am very convinced of the importance that research should be disseminated widely by attending different national and international meetings/platforms. I have been on research stays at First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, China, and a longer stay at Ghent University Hospital, Belgium.

Arbejdsområder

My main research area is childhood voiding dysfunction, especially nocturnal enuresis (bedwetting), which I have been working with since 2014. Here especially the pathophysiology of increased nocturnal urine production, circadian dysfunction, the genetic background behind enuresis and clinical studies with the aim of optimizing the treatment.
