The OPEN Action offers an annual "peer-to-peer" research colloquium for early career scholars prior to the annual conference. The colloquium supports the opportunity to share work-in-progress and engage in peer-to-peer feedback.
Benoît Josset co-chairs Working Group 4 and is a postdoctoral researcher at Université de Rennes. Elif Kara is the Legal Entity Appointed Representative (LEAR) at Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi. In this video, they talk about OPEN's Early Career Scholar Colloquium and how it enables early career scholars to share their work with international peers.
The colloquium will be held on April 30 and May 1 as part of the second OPEN COST Action annual conference at the University of West Bohemia, Pilsen. This event is a fantastic opportunity for the early career researchers of OPEN to present their preliminary findings and receive valuable peer-to-peer feedback.
Chaired by Benoît Josset, Mare Ushkovska and Elif Kara this year’s ECS Colloquium will be split into two panels. The first panel on April 30st will feature keynotes on “The influence of various funding mechanisms on academic freedom”, while the second panel on May 1st will feature keynotes on the “political interrelation”.
