Niels Haldrup is Professor at the Department of Economics and Business Economics. Since 2024 he is director of the InCommodities’ funded Center for Research in Energy: Economics and Markets (CoRE). He was previously head of department for six years (2017-2023), and he was the founder and director of CREATES (2007-2017), - a research center of excellence funded by the Danish National Research Foundation. He holds a PhD in economics from Aarhus University (1992).
Niels’s research interests are in econometrics, time series econometrics in particular, with focus on both theoretical and applied research including applied research in energy and climate economics.
Teaching interests are in econometrics and statistics.
